About Bibles for the Broken Hearted

My journey began in Chico, CA in 2006 when I started Ezra's Expedition. It took me across the Sierra Mountains, through snowstorms and 20 feet of snow—finding refuge in snow caves. I traversed the Nevada and Utah deserts, enduring scorching heat, and faced wild animals and treacherous terrain in the Rocky Mountains. From the plains to New York City’s bustling streets, down to Washington DC, across Texas, and to the Gulf of Mexico, my goal was clear: raise a million dollars for children’s charities (including the National Children’s Cancer Society, Children’s Miracle Network, and Heart Kids Australia).

During my ride, I encountered broken hearts—the irreversible pain of losing loved ones. Yet, God orchestrated moments of connection, parting seas of isolation. Over a decade has passed, marked by personal losses. But it was the love of a family, lost and found, that inspired me anew. Now, my mission is different: to distribute a million books about Jesus, offering healing and hope to broken hearts. I’m just a cowboy with a horse and a book, humbled by grace. My prayer? That Bibles for Kiri will encircle the globe, touching a million lives.
